Queen Elizabeth Pen By Mont Blanc






While I was in Texas we went to the Galleria mall. While window shopping my brother stopped and said look at this knowing my love for all things Tudors we took this photo of the pen that has been made in Honor of Queen ElizabethI. I was curious as the cost of the pen and went in and asked the price. 8,000 was too rich for my blood so I had to settle on a brochere about the pen to add to my Tudor collection.     It's very pretty. But $8,000? I don't think so (unless I hit the lottery or something!).

    Limited Edition fountain pens, especially those made in honor of historical figures, are always frighteningly expensive. This is only one of the reasons I don't own any. The other reason is that they are notorious for not functioning well as pens, go figure. Either not ergonomically sound, or the ink doesn't flow well or the nib is unpleasant to write with. It seems they're meant for admiring, not using.

My New Best Friend The Kindle3

A few months ago my friend Leslie got herself a Kindle Since she was like me finding her shelves over stuff with paperback books.I was still on the fence about ereaders I love to go in to the book store and browse the shelves and look at the cover art.I didn't know If I could see my self reading from a machine. Over the last few months I have enjoyed listening to Leslie tell me all the neat books she found for free and how much fun it is to use. The instant gratification of having a new book dowloaded is really the key here. Once I decided I wanted one the question was Which one? This Sunday starts our last season with Johnathan Rhys Meyers as Henry VIII where has the time gone???I remember when I discovered that Showtime was going to do air this show I was so excited I had to find out all I could about it. There is no denying that the Tudors were some of my favorite historical characters. But the casting of Johnathan Rhys Meyers just made my day I had seen his performance as Elvis the previous summer and I was blown away by his sexiness.
